Why The Grand Story Rhyming Bible?

The Bible is filled with stories.

Across seven volumes, children will journey through the story of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation. Each story is told in memorable rhyme, designed to be read aloud, enjoyed together, and remembered.

The hope is simple: that children would not only know the stories of the Bible, but begin to see the story that holds them all together.

About the Author

Hi, I'm Reese Black.

I’m a husband, dad, youth pastor, and writer who loves helping people understand and cherish God’s Word.

​

For years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching students and families about the Bible. And one of my favorite things to help people see is this: the Bible is intended to be understood as one big story. That idea is at the heart of this project. I created The Grand Story Rhyming Bible because I wanted to give parents a simple, memorable way to walk through that story with their children. The first volume, The Beginning, is currently taking shape. It tells the story of Genesis through twenty rhyming stories, beginning with creation and ending with Joseph. There are six more volumes to come.

It’s a big project. But every grand story has to begin somewhere. Thanks for being here at the beginning.
